March 4th-6th – Seattle Trip

This weekend was wonderful.  I was anxious at work all day on friday anticipating an incredible weekend but I had no idea it was going to be this monumental.  Hopped on my flight friday afternoon in my business attire, chopped it up with my row mates on the plane, turns out they knew a few friends of mine, small world.  Got swooped by my mom from the airport to go to dinner with my parents.  My mom, dad and I went to this restaurant called Tulio downtown, I went with the ribeye…..good choice.  We had a really entertaining dinner sharing wisdom, stories and conversing on current events.  After dinner my dad let me borrow his whip for the weekend, rolled around in class, it was time to party.  As I arrive at my temporary Seattle home my friend alarms me of our plans, 80s themed party bus.  I end up getting really hammered and had way too much fun.  The next morning I woke up at 945, studio time started at 10am.  As I cabbed back to the homies spot to shower up and figure my life out I feel like I am going to yack, fortunately I handled my liquor and didn’t make a fool of myself.  Saturday, after my late attendance to my session, Cash and I traded off in the booth while Teal engineered the first session of this project when we all could be in the same room, creatively this was important.  The main product from saturday’s session was a song called ‘ThunderSpace’.  I was taken back when I listened to that track the next day, “We have something here” is what I was thinking.  Spent that entire session hungover.  After the first studio session of the weekend, Cash and I mobbed downtown to work with Mike Folden for this photoshoot.  Here is a iphone pic of us getting our picture taken, ya goofy I know….

Then it was off to the Macklemore show.  My friend Kelsey, she is a Mackleorette (she dances for Mack’s shows) and she got me on the list cause she is a boss.  This show was incredible and I hope to make it to the SF show but damn Mack you be selling out shows outside of Seattle with tickets for $75, thats impressive.  Saturday night after the show I headed back to my college roots to Fournos.  This was an interesting scene, exactly how I left it but with my buddy Riley spinning mad DubStep.  I am a new fan of dubstep music and he killed it on the 1s and 2s last night.  After the afterparty my friends and I went next door to Memo’s.  I was not very bullish on Memo’s during school but damn if you go there get the CarneAsada Fries.  Sunday’s session was even more incredible than saturday and I’d like to thank Neema for gracing us with his presence.  We finished the single ‘FridayNight’ and made some serious headway towards the end of the project, it is looking like we have one more session then we will be putting out this Free EP for y’all!  MAD LOVE SEATTLE, I MISS YOU!!!!!
